How long have you been in your industry?21 years
Why did you choose your industry?I received my degree in back in 2004. After taking a course in school on marketing it sparked something inside. School work no longer felt like "work." Earning my degree in marketing and then setting out on a career in sales and marketing was and is a natural extension of myself.
Who are your typical clients?Attorneys and Medical Professionals. Attorneys such as Personal Injury, Estate Planning, and other specialities. Then medical professionals such as primary care doctors, ENT, cardiologists, mental health professionals, dentists, chiropractors.
What do you like best about being in this industry? This is natural, like swimming with the current. I enjoy building relationships with people and I enjoy the travel and all the places it has taken me.
What are common problems you see?Brand identity issues. Stock images that do not accurately represent the firm/clinic. This inhibits relationship building or can present a snag when many touch points with clients begin and include the digital experience. Digital should accurately connect to the in-person experience. This helps with client retention and referrals. I like to think the long game, saving time and money.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?I advise clients to take a step back and think about this. Many either do it themselves or hire a firm to handle this. Some firms do a great job at thinking about every step of the client experience and some focus only on a few, mainly SEO/SEM and client acquisition. Client acquisition strategies are important, but the simpler, yet, more difficult path is the holistic client experience. This is my strength. Photo and video content is key to executing this type of holistic experience well from the beginning to all the way through the client experience.
When is your busy season?Jan-May
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I in person network locally and use cold/warm outreach techniques.
How involved are you in the community?I own an IG community page called San Marco Jax. This is a page about spreading awareness of the local events and happenings in the San Marco community of Jacksonville. I serve in local church activities and missions. While my daughter attended Hendricks Ave Elementary, I was on the school advisory council there.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Hope Signs
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Client experience, get a coach, portfolio, niche down, cold outreach techniques are critical.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Nature and Architecture Photography, Grilling, Outdoors, motorcycles, off-road vehicles
